the renovation project

This is how I found this house on www.marktplaats.nl a Dutch trading site. Especially the bathroom, the kitchen and the chairs in the lower room caught my attention. They would fit perfectly in the Hanse of Denmark house I had already bought. (pictures will follow soon). But when I arrived at the sellers home, on the spot, I decided to completely restore this house for my five years old daughter Lotte.

By now the house is completely empty, the flooring and all the wallpapers have been removed. It was a hell of a job to get rid of the, at least, 17 different wallpapers. (Luckily only the bathroom floor and the kitchen floor where glued to the house.) Try to take a good look and see the beautiful staircase in the second floor's left room! I took this carefully out as well for a new paintjob. The electric wiring where partially worn by age so I had to get all of that out as well.

The furniture, most in very good condition but dusty and dirty after been in storage for 30 years, have had a thorough cleaning. New light bulbs have been bought to replace the many that didn't work any more.
